Go that way, very fast.
"The electric racing car, built by 20 University of Stuttgart students known as the GreenTeam, can go from 0 to a little over 62 miles per hour in just 1.461 seconds. The school's website says that its peak acceleration is "roughly equivalent to the force experienced by astronauts when a rocket re-enters the Earth's atmosphere.""
Here's how it looks. They've also done an EV version of the F&F engine internals scene
One thousand four hundred-plus seconds does not seem very impressive

I was on an FSAE team back when I was in college (early 2000's). I still have friends from it and it made me a way better engineer.
Some of the stuff the teams do these days is pretty crazy. At a minimum they definitely do better video work than we ever did!

Top fuel is 0.4 seconds.
This is an EV-specific record, but it would also beat every production car, it also appears to be faster from 0-100kmh than the electric quarter-mile record holder.

This you can drive for more than a 1/4 mile* under its own power.
*car is developed by an FSAE team, all figures as to distance drivable are not to be taken literally.

It is impressive. I just looked it up as a point of comparison. It's a cool car and definitely advances the technology.

All true. Again, I just looked it up for the sake of comparison.

Can you compare a dedicated dragster to a car designed for "road" courses, though?
I'd think a more fitting example would be whatever Tesla model is the fastest.
That's spunky. I like the two separate burnouts to warm tires.

i LOL'd because Mr_Asa knows what's up.
No track prep, no VHT, that's beyond impressive.

Got a refresher this past weekend. Went in to answer some questions on how I set up the FEA on my uprights in ~2016 cause PDM somehow ate the setup. Hung out for an hour and change.
Thought "damn, I miss this." Then I heard em talking about being there till 3AM and having a test the next day...
