Was just talking to my HVAC guy and he mentioned 'the Scout plant' being built near Columbia, SC. That's almost in my backyard and I had never heard of them, so I had to Google. So, it's a VW spinoff and scheduled to come on the market in 2026 (trucks and SUV-like things). Went to the website and there's lots of postings for automotive jobs. Maybe some people here might be interested if they could stand living in Columbia, SC!
