You could easily dial back the motor with a smaller turbo.
Should you land it I'd drive it and if it isn't to lagy I'd leave it be. If it is a smaller turbo is an easy fix.

That would be the plan, yes. Of course the bigger turbo could probably be made to behave by using a more modern turbo and EFI, but then it becomes a research project...

My guess is that they're 185s or less.
My concern is that it's going to be one of those nothing... nothing... nothing... boooooooooost... "where did that ditch come from and why are we upside down in it?" experiences. A stock ERA can already be a bit of a handful with its 94-ish HP (can't remember the torques), and if the bigger turbo does what I think it's supposed to do, this one is likely running over a hundred Shetland ponies that come in with a bang.
