See that big empty space under the driver door? There used to be a matching piece of plastic there like behind it, plus a mud flap as well. Near the end of the morning runs they both decided to help with weight reduction. Someone carried both back to me at the lunch break before I went searching!

RokBlokz is sending new fasteners for the flap, which mounts in 3 spots including a very rusted out tab that also held the rocker panel. I haven't had time to look very far into this, but I'd like to reattach both items and have them stay there this time.

What's the toughest caulk/glue gun kind of crap out there? That will stand up to weather and such? I'm going to see if I can use long sheet metal screws as well. I'm open to suggestions... Where's my rusty Subaru owners??

Windshield adhesive holds damn near anything. A few big blobs and tape it in place and no one will ever know there is no metal behind it.

Body panel adhesive, brought to you by Saturn and the Pontiac Transport, is a viable alternative to welding. It's not cheap, but there's nothing better.

Polyurethane construction adhesives are the GRM solution(a fraction of the cost of the automotive equivalents).

You just need to remove the same piece on the other side. Add lightness.

look at a tube of Quad caulk from the home depot. that stuff sticks to everything and once cured it won't go anywhere. i used it to glue the plastic cladding on my old astro van to do pretty much like you - cover rot holes

Well there are large tubes of white caulk, but they're not advertised as much as the black caulk tubes.

I retrofitted (or at least tried to) RS skirts onto an L. Man what a pain. I used the OEM clips that cost like $70 and drilled holes in my rockers... and they didn't hold anything. The OEM clips are completely useless. I have a roll of 3M double sided tape that I will try next. If that fails (and it will) I am going to glue those mothers on there. Let me know what works.
