I know that everyone can have different experiences but in 24 yrs of towing the SE for club racing, I was never stranded by a Ford product(2 Expeditions and the Excursion). I cant say that about any of the GM's(3 different era 454 'Burbs). My favorite was the water pump that was only in one model year(91?) and it took two days to get one in Savanah Ga. I looked all over town since I had a paddock full of mechanics and tools at RR and ended up being towed to the GM dealer. Anti-lock brakes seized near Sebring and intake manifold gasket blew in Metter Ga. You couldnt give me another GM. YMMV

Sorry but the 66 has been sold. I'm out of town for the weekend, but I can get you some pics on Monday

Well my newer 2500 suburban comment was basically only about 6.0 Ls + 4l80e suburbans which i consider very reliable, but i could have been more specific.

I agree with statements already made that if you need more than a 6.0L suburban, it makes sense to go for the excursion, and if you need an excursion, i personally would hold out for the 7.3.
