If you spent $30,000 to hot rod and customize, you would easily get $10,000.
Your car.
Welcome to my world!
What people forget to factor in is if you hot rod it properly, the experience and education are well worth the $20k price of admission. Kinda like serial killing...The "Car" at the end is just a by-product that needs to be disposed of so you can get started on the next one.

And, as long as a guy is aware of that going in, I'm perfectly fine with it all.
Just be aware.

I can help...take some cars off your hands.
OK that's amazing. A Lancia and an 1800. Any car guy would be lucky to have either one much less both.
In reply to NOHOME :
I do need help. I think it is some type of hereditary disease.

HNNNG.
I think that is how you say it?
Lanchia Montecarlo for the win.
I know it has absolutely nothing to do with the 037 except for the manufacturer's badge, but I want a Scorpion in the worst way because I'm a Group B geek.

No. Bad Evan. You already have like seventeen Volvos. And a few Mazdas. And a bunch of Opels. And, for some reason, a Chevy (you're weird I guess)
And from what I understand, about five or six Peugeots.

But I've never had a Lancia!
Edit: to make up for never owning a Lancia I just bid on more Peugeots and a few Maseratis for good measure.

Totally off topic, but what brand is the hooped storage shed in the back left of the picture. I'm moving to a new place without a garage and need storage.....
In reply to LifeIsStout :
i do not know, that is where I picked the car up.
Maybe I shouldn't buy a trailer. It's like a gateway drug and enabler all rolled into one.
In reply to Floating Doc :
Don't buy a trailer, just having one near me turned into a Suzuki and Datsun in my garage. My tune will change soon when I have three more drivers in the house. Then I will need a trailer.
Your are killing me with the cars that follow you home.
I got the Volvo running today, actually was able to drive it through the ally. Now I am thinking keep it, I have already had a guy stop and leave his number, it ran so well and drove so nice for how my experience has been based off the visual condition. I think it will make a nice daily.

I play in the classic car market for a living.
No, not the Barrett-Jackson "All sizzle and no steak" market, I mean real, proper classic cars.
P1800's are on the rise right now. Even if you do nothing but keep it from getting worse, that car is a solid investment. Changing it from stock would seriously affect it's value. It would be fine to engine-swap it and whatnot if it had already been cut up but if it were mine, I would be cleaning it up and looking for a buyer (if you haven't fallen in love with it yet).
It is Volvo's first real "sporty" car after all.
The Lancia is nothing to complain about either.
Anyone know a good combo for shocks and springs for the 1800? Looking to lower it a bit but I am looking for comfort over handling.
