Useful metric canoe. I'll allow it.
Well for what its worth, brake bolts are those things I like to get from the dealer. They usually are not just regular old bolts, but have shoulders or whatever.
That is the most useful canoe I seen.
Thanks to the canoe this thread was bumped at just the right time for me. I'm refinishing the two piece Speedline wheels on the 993 and need 96 replacement bolts.
ugh okay I either called, emailed, or checked websites on every source listed in this thread and no one had my specific bolt. Does anyone know of a good bolt restoration service where I can just send them my bag of hardware and have them refinished? I'm in a time crunch here otherwise I'd just use my small tumbler and do a few at a time since there are 96 of them.
If anyone wants a challenge the bolt I'm looking for is a button head m8-1.25x25mm. The challenge here is these are for speedline wheels that came standard on 993 targas, so they have an 11mm shank where the bolt goes through the wheel. I can find m8-1.25x25 all over the place but none with the shank. It's basically this, but with the shank. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/1139918?term=1139918

11mm long shoulder.....sorry should have clarified.
Sorry for the delayed reply. Is it possible to get a standard socket in there if you switched to an AN-5 bolt? You'd be able to get the grip length right, and 8mm is within a few thou of 5/16".
Surprised that no one has mentioned Tractor Supply as a source. There is also a nearby Ace that has a great bolt section. The owner told me one night at a cocktail party that he didnt realize how much business he got off that section until his buyer tried to go cheap and the regulars complained.
