Hellllllo from St. Pete. JG and I are here for the World Challenge season kick-off. If you see us wandering the paddock, definitely say hi.
Just got in from the pre-race parade. That was two hours of solid entertainment.

I'll be there all three days. Looks like some awesome racing going on the whole weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing all of it. I've never been before...anything special to expect?
Just take it all in, and don't forget that some paddocks (World Challenge, Ferrari Challenge, Formula Mazda, etc.) are located outside the track.

Brighthouse usually has free tickets for qualifying (i.e. today)
Couple of my SCCA buddies are working turns. They were going to Sebring anyway, and decided to stay the extra week.
Too bad some of those cars don't look as pretty this evening. Gonna be some late hours put in tonight by World Challenge teams.

Slowly but surely? I heard that phrase atleast 6 times. They also called the Cayman the "Cayenne". Brad and I stared at each other when they said that

Still the ugliest racecar I've ever seen.

yeah, Duke takes that one, the new indycar looks like it should be a LMP, but the guy in charge of front end aero got bored and left, so the rest of the team was like "well E36 M3 " and just decided to scrap the fenders and bolt an old A1GP wing to the nose.
BUT. the Deltawing is THE fugliest thing this side of the new step-nose F1 cars

I really like the way those Kia Optimas look. Now if the factory could make a go-fast version with a manual.
I hope the camera selection gets a little better. I was pulling my hair out when they switched off that battle with Bell to look at some 3rd place camaro stuffed in a wall, and missed the pass. Bleh.
Note, I watched the recording of the live stream. Dont know if it was different through other mediums.
And I'll second on the announcers, It was almost like they were afraid the cars would stop if they stopped jabbering.

The live stream is practically live. It's just cameras with a skeleton crew of direction. It will be much better in final cut when it airs on television, and will probably have better announcing as well (Greg Creamer?).
I'll have to keep watching the streams though, because I don't get NBC Sports!
Nice pics JG (broke out the top gear filter ). I like the live streaming, even with unfortunate camera timing/selection - it's usually the announcing that irritates.

I've always liked Greg Creamer's announcing
Those Cadillac CTS-V's were so loud. That was louder than any nascar race I have been to. Pretty awesome race on Sunday.
