Having had participated in the first Autocross/Solo event for 2012, I think I have worked all of the bugs out of my 944/LSX. I can't explain how much fun it is to let all of the ponies roar on a nice, long, autocross course. Unfortunately, now I need to exercise a little self control if I am going to do well. Before I become more subdued, I thought I'd post this shot of me coming down the lot out of nice juicy turn. By the way, no station workers were endangered or harmed in the making of this photo

Seems like those corner workers should be paying more attention to the impending doom bearing down upon them. Autocrossing with actual power looks fun.

In reply to mazdeuce: Sure is! With the added horses, the 944 is more than willing to perform!! Just need to keep the go faster pedal in check!

I know the feeling. The announcer said the same thing about me (go big or go home) at the end of my last run when I hit two cones.

Two? Unless that's followed by "dozen" there's no going "big".

To the OP: Nice car! I'd love to LSx my 944 one day, it's such a good combo. Do you have a build thread or more details on yours?

Javelin - Thanks for the kind words! I agree - the 944 is the perfect candidate for the LSX. Before the swap, the car was fast and responsive. Now the car is scary fast and responsive!! Last weekend's event was my last time of playing around (learning to drive the car again with upgraded brakes). I now have to fight the urge to kick the rear of the car out in the the turns if I want to get my times down (very hard to do since it brings a smile to my face!).

I have a build page on Cardomain which details everything up to now. If you have questions, feel free to drop a couple lines!
