Hmm. I don't know. He's a friend of a friend (Matt also flags, but I haven't worked with him). I'll send a FB request and ask him. I'm curious about that as well. I know Hemmings has extended their free ads for stolen cars to their website (and I seem to recall a few were recovered), but this is the first time I've ever participated in something like this personally.

Heard from Matt..weird story. The online thing didn't have anything to do with the recovery. Seems the thief was already in custody the morning they discovered the rig missing from the storage.

Thief had stolen a truck that morning, cops chased him until he wrecked it..which led to a capture on foot in the area where the thief was stashing the vehicles. He says he'd still like to thank everyone who spread the word, and that he was astonished how fast the news got out.
