Bonus points for what looks to be an on street repair
My driveway is steep and short so I can't really jack anything up on it. My garage would be a contender in the garage slob thread and I don't see myself finding time to clean it in the near future so I can't get the van in there. We have had two cars hit while parked in the three years we have lived here so having it on the street is bugging me.
If the puller/fire method hadn't worked my next step was going to be putting it back together enough to park it in the middle of the lawn so I could do a monster truck tug of war with the axle in the middle.

that's pretty awesome. I might have taken the sledge to the van at that point, so good on you for sticking with it.

Need a bigger version of that pic, please. From what i can see, looks like just the kind of home-brew improvisation i enjoy seeing.

Waiting on gaskets that are only available from the Toyota distribution warehouse in California. Paying two day shipping to get something in 5 days sucks.

at least you are likely to get what you ordered.... I've got a client who wants 1SZ one piece buckets in his head... even though there are enough in the USA... Toyota wont sell them..... because they were never sold in the USA originally

Interesting. Could you order them from a dealership in another country?
