2006 baja turbo automatic
The seal where the yoke for the rear driveshaft enters is leaking. Is that considered transmission, or transfer xase seal? Better yet, link to the correct part?
Also, what fluid do i grab from the parts store? 200k, going to change filter and a questionable hose as well.
Rear transmission seal, or rear output seal. Rock Auto lists an extension housing seal, 710324, but this has a 1.374" ID and the Subaru driveshaft I have here has a 1.337" (elite!) yoke OD.
If my back wasn't screeching right now I'd lift up my trans and get a Subaru part number for you, if it is still legible.
You gave me the name!
Ill go to the scooby dealer and get it now that I know what to call it, along with the trans mount. Thanks pete!!
What flaps fluid?
NOK AH2060H is on my seal. Which translates to a 50x35 seal, and 35mm is... 1.378.
Maybe my calipers are wrong.
For fluid.... *useless shrug* Gear oil in the front diff part, whatever ATF in the transmission part. I'm no fluid purist, new is better than old and cheap new is better than ignoring. Front diff and ATF have their own dipsticks. ATF is on a tube on the left side, diff oil is on the case on the right probably inaccessible with the intercooler in the way.

That'll be a 4EAT; Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc worked well in my old one. It smells the worst, so it must be the best.
Awesome. Thanks everyone!!
It may have three dipsticks, follow them to be sure where they go. My buddy's son read the wrong one and overfilled something.
