so having a track car or buying one isn't going to be an option right now. To many variables in life. Wife said go ahead and get a DD you'd like. Found a 2014 Mustang GT I like with GT track pack and a few other doo dads. After x-plan, incentives, haggling. Talked them down to about $31k out the door. Civic has a buyer....but do I wait for 15s to come out?

I am waiting. The worse that can happen is the 14s will be worth less.

I saw a 15 at a new car show in Louisville a couple weeks ago. WAIT.

I'd wait. The new car is supposed to be loads better. Either you can swing the new one or you get to scoop up the old one for an even better deal. The potential downside is not being able to find exactly this car when that time comes. I'd still wait.

I am not a fan of the '15. IMO, I'd buy the '14. The '15 is far too European for an American muscle car. If I wanted Euro, I'd buy Euro.

We all complain about cars getting bigger and heavier, the 15 comes out lighter and smaller and we still are not happy.

No wonder the car companies don't listen to enthusiasts

How much is a 15? I think I'd rather have a 65.

I like the idea of the turbo 2.3 in the 15's, that said I can find '14s around here for $26k.

I've heard rumors that their is going to be a 10% hike across the board on the mustangs to make room for the 4cylinder version. Plus dealer markups...

The current mustang is an excellent car. The next model will be lighter and better in every way. It's win win.

It's the lightest of the current muscle cars, has a huge aftermarket, holds it's value, and has somewhat decent visibility compared to the Camaro or Challenger.....

They're fantastic cars. They might not be exactly what everyone wants, but that doesn't make them not fantastic.

31k's a very good price, and the 2015's pricing will be high for at least the first 1/2 yr it's out...

If he waits till the 15's come out then the 14's left on the lots will be even cheaper I imagine.

I don't know - 05-09s are still priced high as well as 11-12. The 2010 is a bastard.

Plus I don't know if you can go wrong anyways...I drove an 06 GT in 2009-2010 when the updated body style came out. Purchased it for $18k - drove it for a year and 20k miles. And sold it to a dealer for $18.5k a year later..
