My dream car in high school was an AWD twin-turbo early C3.

There will be video and a build thread coming, there is a good story behind this one.... just need to get some things settled first.
But trust me, Conrad has plenty to say

The motor is still in it... just stock C3 ride hight is nose bleed high. This ones is getting lowered and Dirtball's 17" street wheels

L48, auto.
Base car... but it is cleeeaaaaan
Nothing wrong with the l48 not the highest reving engine but pretty good torque but it comes in at 2400 rpm.

Very true, but the previous owner ventilated the oil pan with one of the connecting rods... so the options are open

Lol, no Rallying for this one... check out how clean the interior and frame rail are

That is kind of the plan. I have a Vortec 350, and 700 R4 sitting just needing to be freshened up... and if the budget allows maybe a 383 stroker kit.

I love the fact that if you search for rally C3s, you get the red one... the blue one, and Dirtball.
This one being so clean is kind of a blessing and a curse. I had someone offer me a NOS Ecklers station wagon kit the other day (which I have always wanted), but this car is so pristine I don't want to cut it up. The story I got from the PO is that it sat in a personal car collection for 20 yrs, before he bought it last year.... hell the factory clock still berkeleying works!
I am also going to have to be very mindfull of what I have been doing/ wearing before I drive it. As not to smear axle grease across the white upholstery, like have already done to the carpet in our new house
I wish more people would do this. When you mix and match parts on a 911 and run them in rally cross it's an Outlaw and all the Porschephiles want to know all about it. Do it with a Vette and you're an outcast from all Vette circles. Fine with me. I don't want to hangout with those lawn chair sitting car show types anyway. They bore me.
sorry for reviving such an old thread. A google search lead me here.
