Test Drove a ZHP, Now Considering an E90

I've been watching the market for BMW's and a local '05 ZHP sedan popped up on CL this week. I went and drove it yesterday and it really is a fantastic car. This one has 97k and is very clean, but the guy is asking NADA retail for it. Seems like the prices for these cars are all over the board and this guy has been a salesman at a BMW dealer for 20 years so he knows what he's got.

Now I'm thinking maybe I should go drive an E90 with the sport package for comparison. Seems like I could get the newer body style with similar miles for similar money. Thoughts?

Offer $500-1000 under retail? I hope you're not expecting to pay wholesale for it.

they are all over the map, depending on who's selling, how ragged, and which options. when i was looking -- at e90s -- i saw everything from 21,000 to 37,000 for roughly equivalent cars, all from 08-2010.
