I replaced both front LCA this morning on a new-to-me 2013 highlander. Without the cameraderie and knowledge sharing on this board (and a great YouTube video) I would have had to pay a pro to do it.
Before GRM I never would have considered attempting this. So thank y'all!
(it test drove great and STILL has a clunk LOL. Rock Auto is sending me some tie rod ends next...)

Explain the clunk.
Does it do it when braking? when you get going? When you hit a pothole?
Tie rod end might be the last thing I do. Raise the wheel and check for play while you hold the tire at 3/9 position.
Check your sway bar links.

I had to disconnect the tie rod ends when doing the LCAs. The rubber joint was shot.
The clunk used to be when hitting bumps but the LCA replacements I think eliminated a lot of it. But I drove it around the block and it still had some noise when underway. Car is not home currently a I'll drive it again and focus on what makes it happen and report back. Thx

If that doesn't work, check the body bushings too. You need to have the weight on the front tires to check them, because they bind up in droop and hide the movement.

I totally agree with this. I was a car guy before GRM but nothing more than the basics. GRM taught me not to be afraid to try something. Just like the people above trying to help you this is the GRM way. Plus if AC can do stuff anyone can.
Rock on and, yes, this community is the best.

I just re-read this, and feel like being clearer- Check the bushings where the sway bar mounts to the body or frame.
Strut tops / bearings would be something to check out as well.

LOL, you suck so much. I heart these little insult Easter eggs. They keep the forum fun for me.
