Going back to green in under 10 minutes, or so they say.
Doesn't look like the GT Ferrari actually hit the Audi from this Speed pic and Waltrip didn't know of any damage to his team car. Speed announcers are speculating the Audi dropped two wheels off to try to make it around the Ferrari... which did take the entire lane away as seen.
Beretta has supposedly been poisoned by Carbon Monoxide in the Corvette, and cannot continue the race. Very strange...
Only the announcers said Carbon Monoxide. I wouldn't be suprised if it was the smell of fuel inside the car. It can almost do the same thing, but it's not as fatal.
It's amazing that in this age of information and technology, where the big teams have tents full of engineers at the track, LeMans is still BRUTAL on cars.
Still the most impressive test of man and machine.
BTW--I LOVE those 458 LM's. What a car...
That Felbermayr 88 got boned by that tire exploding. It can probably be rebuilt, but sustained a TON of damage.
Mike Rockenfeller has small flesh wound to right arm but otherwise no other injuries. (from Twitter)
All right, I want a carbon fiber car. Time and again I'm simply amazed to see drivers climb out of catastrophic wrecks like these.

oh, hell yea, much better than Speed.com
TY
Yeah, I have the Speed online coverage playing on my iPad. Nicely done and didn't have any problems connecting.
Speed internet streaming coverage never works well for me, maybe it's my connection but I'm running two PD/FD/EMS scanners online as well if it matters. EuroSport is working fine. The European commentary is different but apt for this race.
Speed TV coverage back on @ 11 pm
My Speed online picture/sound just got out of synch by a few seconds. The interview with Spencer Pumpelly looked like a poorly dubbed kung-fu flick.
Twitter says that the safety car is out again.
