I suppose by modern sport bike standards it isn't all that fast but anything that can do the 1/4 mile in 12 seconds flat isn't exactly pokey.

Exactly and it's a porker, so once it's out of shape you ain't ras-lin it back from the brink.

A few years ago I traded this.

for this.

It lasted for almost three whole weeks before the extra power and brakes caught out my skill and available traction.  I high sided off the bike at 50 mph and slid for far too far on pavement.

Now I have a Miata and that's a good thing.

Sure you don't want another one?

I hear you, my trade was a Suzuki 300 putt putt bike for a FZ1. I survived a year without crashing, but many close calls told me to get something different. The FJR1300 that replaced it was almost as fast, but more of a touring bike. It got traded on a 6.0 GTO 6 speed and I just smile when I think of my bike riding days and that I am still alive smiley

Okay, back to the car trade thread still in progress....

I traded a B16A-powered CRX HF for a rallycross-ready Subaru Impreza wagon--both were past magazine project cars. Looking back, wish I could have kept both of them.
