Asking for a friend: His mom has an (electron?) Blue EM1 Civic SI that she's decided to let go of. It runs, but is showing low compression on all cylinders. It's overall in good/fair shape otherwise. I don't know the miles exactly, but I believe it's well over 100K. It's a Michigan car, so I believe there is some rust on the rockers, but IIRC, the wheel arches are still solid (I haven't seen the car in 6 months to a year). It's mostly stock, although it seems like it had an aftermarket exhaust and maybe an intake. Understanding it is a project car, what's a fair value "as is"?
I'd say the transmission is worth $1000, so maybe $1500?
Is that the one that was stolen from me in suburban Detroit a year and a half ago?

No, his mom has owned it for years. It always cracked me up to see a 60 y.o. lady putting around in a fart canned blue SI.
Sorry about you getting ripped off BTW. I kind of thought the rampant Honda theft thing had died down, but apparently not.

$1500 seems like max value for a rusty, low compression, high mile Si.
It's rusty, the engine is shot, it has high miles, the exhaust needs replaced...$500 and I'll take it off your hands.

Hopefully it also has all the normal acoutrements to accompany the fart can:
Non-functional tow hook
Stuffed animal hanging from said hook
Spike lugnuts
Non-functional wing
Mugen stickers (multiple)
Fake hood scoop
BTW - should have added, PM me if you're interested, I'll get you contact info. Car is in SW Michigan.
Based on my findings with my B16 swapped Civic. The transmission (maybe $500 or more?) - all B series transmissions work with B series engines. The cluster goes for stupid money ($150-200), and the P2T ECU is good for those that need to pass emissions (OBD2) in their 96-00 B swapped Civics ($150-$200). Offer it for $1000 as is and it'll be gone quick. Locally it'd still be listed for $3k cuz real EM1 yo! It was a 2 year model run and stockers are hard to find. It was also one of 2 USDM Honda's with B16's.
