OK, the roof is a bit lower and the motor is a 4 instead of a 6, but the AMG version of the new GLA will have 355HP and AWD!!! Is this not the ultimate Rondo ever?
They start at around $30,000, maybe the AMG version will only be $40,000? Please? Oh please?

AMG & KIA?
He is making a joke about the new MB GLA looking it a Rondo.
Why did Kia name their car after a basketball player?
OK, its the Mercedes GLA. But come on, it is the same body style!

...and heated toe warmers, and 27 airbags, and 6 redundant nanny wheelspin correction systems, and a 39lb touchscreen toilet flusher, and a $952.25 button in the dash that does nothing at all until the bulb behind it burns out and then your car turns off on the freeway, locks the doors, and spontaneously combusts
there really isnt anything from Germany im interested in buying new these days. Actually, theres precious few new cars Im interested in buying these days.

Because Roethlisberger didn't fit across the rear hatch.
Lets face it. Pretty much all cars look alike or similar anymore and there's only so much you can do in the cross over segment. Generally when something looks a little different everyone complains about how ugly it is. Frankly, I kind of like it although I wouldn't mind a 355 hp Kia Rondo either.

Looks alot more like an Infiniti FX than a Rondo to me.

Wow, it took until the 5th post for someone to bitch about modern cars being useless and bloated with a promise not to buy one, damn we’re slipping around here!

I've been hearing that same line since I became a vaguely conscious human in the early 70's. Every generation of cars supposedly looks identical to each other, then suddenly 15-30 years down the line they all become cool and magically dissimilar.
Damn, someone must have pissed on my Wheaties this morning, I’m a grump ain’t I?
P.S. Not that I’m a fan of the latest MB SUV styling, but it could be camo’d to look like a Kia to throw people off.
Hey now.. .the Rondo was a better looking car than this thing.

well, if it helps, we have a GMC Terrain in the driveway that we purchased new. And not a stripper model either - optioned up: Leather, V6, AWD, Pioneer option etc etc. And when that note is paid off in about 3 or so years, Im pretty sure that the car that replaces my current DD will be a brandy spankin new Cruze Eco.
Though if I had my druthers, it would be whatever version of the upgraded Regal exists at that time, because vrooooomPSHHHwerwerwer-chirp-vrooooomPSHHHwerwerwer. Just a shame that regal will probably be in the neighborhood of $10k more than budget ...
Point is, Im willing to buy new cars, but not many of them show up on radar. That MB is not one of em.
Regardless...Status: money where mouth is
thankyouverymuch
Nice now only if this car was sold by Subaru or Toyota and was $30,000 less.
