I've already seen some sick cars.
Tomorrow @ 7:00 they are headed to the new drive in movie in Fort Worth for a special screening of American Graffiti with real engine sounds.

Minion#2 and I will be there. It will be a nice change from cars and coffee.
I'm going to check them out this morning. I'll be wearing a road racing shirt if you wanna say hi. In the UTA parking lot, right?

Don't forget, they don't check the parking meters at uta on Saturday ....
I can't make it till the afternoon but that's OK since that way I can head on over to the drive in movie with them, or maybe race over so I can watch them all enter and get situated.
Now I just hope the 50-70% chance of rain will pass us by. I know that if I wanted it to hit it wouldn't.

My kid loves the purple studebaker with the trailer and the flamed Smart car....
I liked the awd chevelle
It's 1:30 a.m. and I just got in. Those guys know how to party.
I got to sit in and ride in a bunch of different cars and talked to what seems like hundreds of people. People who've done it a dozen times and a bunch that this was their first. The stories were amazing.
I never have trouble making new friends and getting people to talk. I had several offers of ride alongs and my wife almost let me go.
One poor guy from south central Texas has had his 39 Buick working great for years now and as soon as he left town his A/C went out, his wipers quit, the radio crapped out and a couple of other simple things broke but he and his wife said they didn't care, they were going. His latest trip was the Great Race. One year he drove a 1916 Indy car cross country for that race. No windshield, not insulation, no comfort and driving thru blizzards as one extreme and Death Valley as another. He was tougher than he looked.
Another group talked about passing walkie talkies from car to car at 100+ mph in a previous Power Tour. They all made sure they had radios that worked, spare batteries and even spare radios this time.
I found a man who wants my 502 and is willing to do a good amount of fab work for me in exchange. The work will equal a number much bigger than the dollars I'd receive from selling the motor. We both win.
Orange was the big color this year and the orange cars looked great. The old school Camaros were just primo this year. Everyone I saw looked flawless.
I loved the Supra powered Dodge Dart.
There was a Dodge powered AMC Pacer, but I never got to see what engine.
I'm tired now, but I'll probably remember more in the morning after I'm rested.
Here are a few that this crowd might appreciate:
Turbodiesel something or other:

I'm 100% positive that the Minor with the Tweels has been in GRM before- sans said Tweels... but I remember reading a build quite similar to it.
I'm surprised that someone didn't try do set that Supra powered Dart on fire. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

And for those of you in the Fort Worth Dallas area, here's another one coming up.
