We had a guy in an El Camino that could break into the 10's at the strip but he must've had a place at the lake near the track because he always towed his 20' boat up to NH with the same car. Imagine parking your boat and trailer at the strip then busting into the 10's a 1/2 hour later?
Oh, and there are several CJ's and YJ's with big (and small) block swaps and narrowed 9" rears pulling the front tires off the ground. Same area as the El Camino, a white CJ7 would wreck every Fox Mustang he lined up with. Never did see what he had, guessing a modded 350.

Yeah, and it sounded like a strong superstock car, that's why they didn't show the burnout, it would have been obvious. 128mph from a small block isn't a big whoop nowadays. In the 1/8th, maybe, but not the 1/4.

^ yes that ^ i want that^ but dark metallic brown.
I still think the ultimate sleeper would be completely riced out Civic (like badly riced with the cheap spoiler and it looks like pep boys exploded on the car) cause no one would expect it to be fast.
In reply to 93EXCivic:
my friend had a b18c/turbo 00 coupe, bought it riced out with a blown sohc, and kept the wing fast and furious decals ,underglow and ugly "bomber II " body kit on it ... it was a hoot to say the least. there was videos of it on the internet , but this was a few years ago..
On the same subject.... there's a certain Civic that i REALLY want to build for the Challenge.

My brother's supercharged Sequoia ranks pretty high on my sleeper list right now. It's no wheel-standing, chassis flexing farm truck, but it's got cold a/c, heated seats, beer cooler in the center console, and based on how badly it spanked a mildly modified S2k, I'm confident it's deep into the 13's.
Amazing thanks again Matt!!!

I have seen Civic Wagovans on You Tube that hauled...
Beige Fairmont + junkyard 5.3/MS/giant turbo/giggle gas = 9 sec pass here. Mild NSFW for a few f bombs, many exterior vids elsewhere on the channel.

That is effing amazing! For a repost (youtube link posted up above).
Once I get the engine swap done on the Bimmer, I've been off/on thinking about tackling a simple turbo project.
