What evidence? They have Facebook posts but they don't have any demonstrable actual business in the legal existence sense. Until they have a business registered with the state they are just cosplaying.
Do you think folks selling stuff on Etsy are all registered with their states?
They registered a domain name and put up a website, and have sold a few sets of tires that I'm going to guess have an invoice related to the sales with their name on it.
I'm not a lawyer, but one wouldn't be unreasonable to expect those facts to complicate an action such as was being described. As I said, fun to think about, wouldn't want to actually try it.
Plus, they seem to be fully capable of burying themselves here. No need to waste time helping them.

VU Development has "copyright" listed on their site, that's why I commented on it.
I forgot about this thread. Few days later it had already more then doubled in pages and I now I love Javelin

Hey guys know this probably burst part of the bubble but I received my order on December 29th via ups. I redacted my address and the last few of the tracking id for obvious reasons. I have them and they seem real
FYI we're abandoning the legitimate LLC idea. No need to do it. So if you donated, please request a refund. Thanks
I found a perfect storefront for our tire store but I guess the right decision is to not escalate.

I dont think anyone was doubting that they were real, it was doubting the claims being made by mr deupree.
I thought he apologized for blaming GRM? Now he's back to blaming them?
Someone needs some new bi-polar meds

He never stopped blaming GRM

Honestly it depends on his attitude any given day. It's like a split personality disorder.

It has nothing to do with bipolar or split personalities.
Apologies are not inherently sincere. How a person acts moving forward demonstrates their sincerity. Obviously he wasn't.

New GRM reader, and only posts (2) are in the Vitour P1 threads. Have to admit it's a little suspect.

Its someone I know and hes cool.
Well this is getting fun now
There's at least 4 vendors of this tire (and 1 that's not VU that has them in person) though wet don't know if they are buying direct from Vitour, or if they have to go through VU.
I kinda wanna buy these for the challenge just for the lolz.
Ya know how people use stencils with white paint to write tire names on them? I'm thinking things like: "slowyear", "banned" #Hollised", etc.
Note that VU is actually conducting business outside this tire fracas. We have worked with them for a while on the Miata spherical bearings. This is an FYI for anyone who wants to play games with trademarks.

MF Hollirich! CEO Hollirichilins..... this could be a lot of fun. 100TW also equals standard tire.....
At this point, I'm wondering how lame this thread is compared to the legend of Nitrous Fogger. Lameness?

It's not Amy level, but then again, nothing will ever be.

Is it really a good look having a GRM mod trolling a local region that he has never ran with, has no experience with and never planned to run with? Look, we get it. You have a hard on for this tire and some personal beef with Sammie here. Great. Go figure that out somewhere else and leave people that are just trying to support their local members with tires through a small business local supplier alone.
I am no longer an Indy region member. Not because of the region, but because of the SCCA as a whole. I’ve seen how their leadership treats people they don’t agree with. I’ve seen how they treat regions that focus on the members more than the organization. That’s my problem. But these people you keep attacking are good people I have known for years and know that they are just trying to offer something of worth to their membership and grow the region.
All yall E36 M3ting on them and then getting pissy because you got blocked? Yeah take your outrage somewhere else and let people be. I would think a GRM mod would remember the #1 rule: don’t be a dick. Apparently the standards have slipped severely.
this is what I posted to SCCA social. I will leave it here as well. I don't know what your issue is and really don't give a berkeley. That local supplier this region is using is a small business started by one of us. He and his wife work full time jobs and run their shop on the side and are good people trying to help people like us save some money buying things we would be buying anyway.
Some of the other people you've attacked are volunteers that bust their ass to make sure that there are events and locations to have them.
my suggestion: put the keyboard away for a little bit and cool down. I've shared meals, tracks and beers with these people you are calling shysters in the region and I can tell you that you are flat out wrong.

Javelin (Michael P) is not a GRM mod, nor does he represent GRM in any way. He's just a member of the community here and GRM does not censor what people write here.
In reply to Andy Hollis :
So when did red titles no longer mean staff?
In reply to Andy Hollis :
He's been a mod, and therefore a representative, since spring or summer of 22 when admins started filling the vacated spots.
Personal opinions aside, I agree wholeheartedly with Bob that these kinds of immature antics are not a good look for A) a 40 year old man, or B) a representative of the forum and company, let alone both.
Javelin is a spam moderator, Andy, but not staff. His views are entirely his own, though we appreciate his efforts deleting spam on the forums.
