I mentioned this somewhere earlier but wanted to put out a formal invite to all challenge attendees to the Wurst Challenge Party!
On Thursday night 10/22 at the host hotel myself, Kurt and Justin (NordicSaab) will be hosting a parking lot grill out for all Challenge attendees. We plan on grilling Bratwurst from late afternoon until into the evening in the rear parking area. We will have condiments and sauerkraut on hand and look forward to helping Challengers solve the age old Thursday night question, "WTF are we doing for food tonight?"
If you are not a Brat fan and want to bring something else to grill we will not be offended. Mi grill, Su grill. If you want to bring something else to share, more power to you.

Andrew Nelson (wheels777) said: Many of you folks are aware that I am involved in many things outside of racing. I am working with others to combine two of those activities with our racing. Last year we collected blankets from local churches and organizations and handed them out in inner city York. While the effort was a success to many, the reality that a 12 year old boy went without has been the center of many conversations. My friend (and fellow racer) and I have a meeting with a missions organizer who is going to help us expand the efforts. We want to formalize and expand the collection part so we don't run out of blankets again. R.O.A.M. Racers On A Mission is what we are calling this effort. If you feel inclined, when we are at the Challenge, we will collect new blankets and reading glasses to haul back to the storage location. The blankets will be handed out in the fall/winter. As far as the reading glasses, it has been my desire to give 1000 pairs of glasses away annually. I can share more details later. Again, if you feel inclined, when you are at a store and feel drawn to throw a blanket or reading glasses into your shopping cart, bring them to Gainesville, I plan to be there.
So, bring a blanket or two or some reading glasses and we will collect them for Andrew and this great cause.
