Pfffffft..... Try a 5yr old, pregnant wife, MIL, and the stupid 90# dog. Oh and the wife hates wagons and minivans. I either need a 'Burb, FS van, or a short bus. None of those is financially feasible in the MPG department. One or both of the last two need to not make the trip come about Nov/Dec...... Or I am staying home.

Honestly, i think the only thing the BMW has over the GM in this situation is that women are almost guaranteed to vastly prefer it. But all the logical points are in favor of the GM. IMO.

My 7 seat 90 Caravan got 27mpg average.. because its a 5spd. Totally irrelevant if wife will not drive a 5spd. That van also has a turbo now.
