Tire leak

Ok so I have 2 slow air leaks on my tires. One is 5psi/week the other is about 10psi/week. Any suggestions for an easy fix, I was thinking Slime? Good, bad, other?

Do NOT use Slime - it'll screw your balance all to hell and the tire guy will curse you when you take them in to be fixed properly when the Slime fails to work. Slow leaks could be a puncture you aren't seeing, a bad valve stem or a leak at the rim. Tire places will find and repair cheap - around $10 each when I had it done on 2 snows at the beginning of snow season last fall.

What he said, also you don't say if the rims are aluminum. They have a nasty habit of oxidizing on the inside lip of the rim and can create a leak there. If that is the case the tire needs to be broken down. Want to see where the leak is, there are 2 ways to go. first get a tub big enough to hold the tire, fill with water and look for the bubbles. Or you can get a squirt bottle, fill it with a combination of dish soap and water and spray it on the tire. Make sure that you cover both rim lips and the valve stem. Where it bubbles and foams up is where the leak is.

Yes they are alloys, and It seams that I had this same problem on these rims with the previous tires, so the rim lip thing is the main canidate. Guess I'm just going to keep these aired up twice a week or so for now. Maybe see if I can get it fixed before I get new tires next year.
