enh, kinda going against the grain driving the sti though. He looked like he's really hard on cars, maybe its just me though. I'd like to see an overlay of his route through the ring in that sti, then in an evo. check out the time's and line, see if he'll finesse a evo the way he used to.

I was really surprised the car didn't break. Anyway, I thought his legend was that he didn't finesse the evo, just drove it balls-out. Supposedly this worked because the car had a relatively primitive 4wd system.
I watched a show on the greatest rally cars last night and they were talking about this very thing, Tommy being hard on cars and that he was the only person who could really drive the EVO to its full potential.
The consensus was it was the right person in the right car that got him his championships.

Agreed.... either lots of understeer, or they installed a manual steering rack, with an anti-quickener.
