I wonder...
I think there will eventually be a quick post saying he is alive, then about a week later, an epically long post detailing whatever adventures he ran into on the way.
I agree with TJ.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it fail. He has delivered what he stated; no contact mid trip.
WE MADE IT TO CHICAGO! I'm driving this beast home to PA and will make a "trip report" once I have pictures.
AWESOME. Here's to hoping it is still glorious.
Just as a reminder, I am located just a few miles off the Ohio Turnpike between Toledo and Cleveland.
Made it home! NYC will still happen on principal, but this is just as far. Trip was uneventful other than being hassled by Customs and Border Patrol (!) in Ohio.
Oh yeah, the surprisingly large Border Patrol presence in Ohio. You may think I am kidding...
Just 15 minutes from my house, in the town next door, Port Clinton, The Dept of Homeland Security built this $25 Million facility. They did one night of open house and we went to see (figuring it would never be open-housed again...and it hasn't.)
To give you an example, they have the ability to park 70 vehicles inside. It is 65k sqft and I think that does not count the indoor parking. They employ about 100.
