I think you should do it so that we won't be competing for the woefully-few Falcons that pop up for sale around here. I won't likely be pining over 1st generation mustangs anytime soon (not that I dislike them...).

basically, I am interested in the stang over the falcon based solely on the fact that there are more around here for sale. Falcons are thin on the ground, literally, there are giant holes from the ground they have been rusting on for the last 30 years.

Excellent point, lol
I support the idea. I'd just be going Zetec personally. I've thought about putting one in my Ranger.
In reply to N Sperlo:
Why? The Zetec isn't as easy/cheap to make rwd, it is smaller displacement, the same price and just generally older.
Example of a finished 68' with a 2.3L Lima Turbo. Everyone seems to love it, I do too.

Cool! I want to make, basically, a modern rat version of that. I like the understated traditional look with the with the boost hiding under the hood.

I too have an irrational want to put a Zetec in a rwd fasion. Why Zetec?... ahh... I guess because duratecs are more expensive... It's the only thing I got. Other than I have a zetec doing nothing in my garage... along with the rwd parts.
