I had no idea what I was starting with this thread.
I'm sticking with dry threads, although I did coat the hub faces with some of the aluminum antiseize (although I didn't look like the tin woodsman afterwards). The last time I tried to remove the stock wheels with my autocross tires, I could barely get them off the front after removing the nuts.
Last night, one of my lug nutsw wouldn't loosen with my new DeWalt impact. Pulled out the hose and put the air impact on it, not budging.
I took the car off of the jack stands. Breaker bar with a 4 foot pipe got it off pretty easily and smoothly.
These are the 949 racing open ended aluminum nuts. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be using an impact to loosen them, but there's no visible damage.
