I have some family up there in Columbus and I would love to get on the track during a visit. I looked at their schedule online, doesn't look like they do a lot of HPDE.  Midwest guys, are there any specific track day operators that I should look into?

Looks like NASA will be there August 28-30, 2020

Any other independent operators?  We have a bunch of them in the Southeast, but not sure if there are any that cover the Midwest.

Autointerests runs there a few times a year, I believe they were just there this weekend. SCCA has a few events later in the season. I'm usually partial to those because they're cheap compared to the other groups and the insurance is better.

I've run an event at Mid O with MVP Track Time, and I know Auto Interests does them too (another group I've run with before, but not at Mid O). I'd recommend either of those organizations - they both run a tight ship.
