looking for part number 38117.540

found it in a pdf of an eibach catalog from who knows when. googles show me nothing except a post from 2007 saying it was coming, and the catalog page claiming it was new. and a couple of those trolling fake parts sale sites.

What is it and what is it for? Eibach has axed a lot of product in the last five years or so; their Mk2 Supra springs are NLA, for example.

I've had a set of those mk2 supra springs new in the box for 20 years or so. I keep looking for the perfect two tone blue/silver supra with blue leather and a 5 speed to use them on. Hard to find in good shape...

buick rendezvous/pontiac aztek

i can't find anything that proves they actually made it. just that part #. usually, if it was made, i can find a new old stock box somewhere collecting dust.

Price is very low but it let's me add them to the cart. Might be worth trying to order?

You can always do a chargeback if it's BS. Luckily your average credit card has zero fraud liability these days.

To be fair, back when I had my Eurovan with the stupid/rare manual wind-up windows, I needed a new regulator. I couldn't find them ANYWHERE except one of those really scammy looking parts sites, for a whole $10 too. I was positive it was a total scam and too good to be true, but I had $10 to spare and decided to give it a whirl. Sure enough the part showed up a week later with no drama and I just about crapped myself. Never any sketchy charges, nothing. YMMV, caveat emptor, etc. But you never know.

Why has eibach stopped making so many kits? I was looking for springs for a 03/04 m45 and can't find them anywhere. Coilovers require welding so springs would work better but they are just non-existent.

Are we talking of an Infiniti M45? Is so, do tell more.

A pretty rare car in general so I am not surprised that specialty parts are hard to find.

They stopped making lots because adjustable perches/sleeve kits are so prevalent these days thanks to the Ricers, stancers and the Chinese knock-off companies.

In reply to turboswede:Some of it is because coilovers are the cool mod when people lower their cars. It's not just Ground Control taking their market share.

BTW, won't Eibach make custom springs for a good price?

was going to check and see if they would, they don't have a customer service email that i could find, and i'm usually too busy working to call during business hours.

the whole thing is up in the air until it's determined if vehicle can be repaired safely cheap or not. if frame machine time or new wiring harness is required, it's getting parted.

They are listed but the m45 guys said there are probably only 50 sets floating around. Of course, only 8400 cars were made over two years so....
