I still need to locate the owner, but I think I may have found a Mopar Turbo 2 lanquishing in my little town. The visual cues are 1), a rectangular exhaust outlet, and 2), 2 large rectangular vents in the hood. I did NOT check the VIN (didn't want to arouse unnecessary curiosity). The car also has turbo badges on the front fenders. Car in question is a Dodge 600 E.
So then...have I found a T-2?
600 should be turbo 1 unless they modified it.
Well, that's still worth a look, I guess. Thanks.

Yep that is definitely NOT a turbo 2. In fact, it is the 'log manifold' setup that would be considered the least desireable setup.
However, turbo 2 status is only a few parts away. Just having ANY decent-condition turbo dodge would be 85% of the way to t2, whereas if you started with a car in bad shape or non-turbo car, you'd be in it for WAY more in the long run.
So, dont get hung up on t1 or t2. Just focus on finding a good starting point where overall condition of the car is concerned.

Thank you! I'm a FWD Mopar virgin, but I have the 2.2/2.5 book. It has had a workout the last few days. And I've gone back through the Turbo Dodge buyer's guide, to glean more knowledge. I like the idea of this, IF I can just find the flippin' owner!
I have almost all of the parts you would need to convert it to TII for sale cheap. If you end up getting it ask me if you are interested.
