Depending on how you vent the engine compartment it could work as a pretty cool afterburner!

Actually, since you'd want to completely seal the intercooler from engine heat anyway it wouldn't be as big a problem as it sounds. The afterburner effect would definitely keep other drivers at bay.

You have to realize the amount of air flow going into the motor is way way more than your factory AC puts out cold. IIRC you said it is a 2.7L and assuming you run a nice and tidy 5psi with poor efficiency your looking at 253CFM, now how many CFM you think the typical automotive AC unit can push... really... 10 cfm... 20cfm.. and now your not cooling ambient air... it is gonna be heated... bad idea, stick to reliability and handling, your gonna commit time and funds to a job that is not going to be in your best interests...
