I'm interested in adding a two-way radio system to my vintage race car.  I know a little about licensing, CB, FRS, corner-work radio protocols, etc.  What do you racers use ?  Do you get licensed?  What frequencies do you use?  How do you choose your frequencies to avoid stepping on other teams?

TIA

Digital radios pretty much means you won't be stepping on other people.

Just go with good quality right out of the gate.  Pretty much everybody does FRS GRMS at first, realizes they suck, buys used "business radios" those suck too and then spends real money on a real set of radios that actually work for racing.

Save your money, contact Sampson racing, tell them you are a champcar racer and get the good stuff.

Ask me how I know!
