"... Volkswagon-powered fiberglass body looks kinda like a 1970 Camaro." Good lord, how could this awesome business plan possibly have failed?
Now THIS might actually have possibilities... NMNA
EDIT: According to Wikipedia a total of twelve (12) of these bodies were made:
Banshee/Caribee[edit]
In the mid-1960s Fiberfab was developing a car to be called the Banshee. It was designed by Russell and Chris Beebe, although they suggest that the mold maker made unauthorized changes to the final shape.[4] During the car's development General Motors (GM) approached Goodwin and bought the Banshee name from him.[4] GM would use the name for their Pontiac Banshee line of concept cars, starting in 1964. The Fiberfab car was renamed the Caribee.
The Banshee/Caribee had gull-wing doors and styling that has been compared to a Shelby Daytona coupe.[30] The body was made to be fitted over a variety of front-engine chassis, including ones from Triumph, MG and Austin-Healey.
Twelve copies of the car were built.[30]

Not gonna lie. I want that. It gives me a full on boner.
But i REALLY dont need a project of that level ever again
Sterlings look so cool but I don't like any of the cars with canopy style openings. I couldn't drive it knowing that or punching my way out are the only options.
If I ever found one of those small Camaros for cheap (like $500 cheap) I would totally buy it.

The kids are the best part of that ad.
Last week there was a guy selling an FFR Mk5 Cobra kit in San Jose, where I live for 27k, too. It was listed on the FFR forum. I couldn't make it over there on Monday to take a look and it sold on Tuesday, thank God. It was about where this one is in terms of completion but with IRS. My marriage is very happy it sold before I could see it...
NMNA. I say unfinished only because the guy doesn't know Bugattis are French, paint it French blue and it's finished.

That was the flaw in the Banshee (they changed the name later to Caribee) - cutting edge styling to inspire the young boy in potential buyers but little thought for ergonomics. The underpinnings were much as for the Jamaican model like I own, you just couldn't get into or out of the Banshee very easily - which is why there were only 12 of them.
The Jamaican like I own is much more user friendly - other than having to assume an almost laying down driving position, the doors are amply wide for getting in and out - in fact much better than the Lotus Europa that I tested once (had to sort of crawl out on hands and knees - delightful on a rainy day, I'm sure).
Dunno 'bout the price, but this strikes me as a candidate for somebody.
