When I first saw it I thought that it had such a heavy duty winch that it was hydraulically-operated instead of electric. Looking closer though there were no hydraulic lines running from the pump to the winch, so that wasn't it. Turns out the winch is a traditional electric unit, but the battery it ran from also operated a gas(!?) engine which drove the hydraulic pump. I followed the lines back down the trailer to a piston at the front so it's a tilt trailer, but that's not the most interesting part. There was also a hydraulic motor at the back end driving a drum upon which rides the moving trailer bed! I had no idea such a thing existed. That's one way to reload your busted race car!

I think that's something like the trailer that they delivered my shed on.
This looks like a repurposed hay spreader - the triangular yellow teeth beside the hitch are certainly from a hay shredder. It's even farm implement green.

Huh, yeah I was puzzling over those teeth, wondering what possible purpose they had. Odd seeing it in suburban SoCal.

I saw the trailer they delivered my Father's shed on, it was more complicated than this

I second the hay bail idea, and i've also had a shed delivered on a trailer that was far more complicated and awesome than this.
not unlike a manure spreader

It be a hay spreader now, but the tracks up the sides of the trailer appear to be for large trash containers. The conveyor screen looks quite new.

I also wonder what that long green bar I'd in the second picture, the one parallel to the bed.
