I went to VIR to watch the Gold Cup vintage races and our favorite Ultimate Track Car Challenge car the Copper colored Ford Fairmont Stationwagon was there. It is also featured in the current issue of GRM. Gone were the NASA stickers and other logos but there was no mistaking that Copper paint and that clean enough to eat on interior. The old wagon held it's own and easily walked away from another American Iron Firebird that was there. Their classing was a little odd though. The racing gurus had put him in with the tube frame stock cars rather than with the other production V8's but it was still great to see the WAR WAGON out on track. I told my girl friend I had raced against that car but I seemed to have left out the fact that he blew by me like I was sitting still.
