I've had this wrinkle coated valve cover hanging up in the basement for awhile. Yesterday while digging thru the garage I found an ignition cassette with a 'bad' label on it. I thought 'this would look great on the office wall' .
Knocked off the coils with a chisel, sprayed on a coat of wrinkle black and dried it in the oven. There was some drama when my wife came home with the cassette still in the oven curing...
A few anchors to hold the valve cover to the wall, and here we are:
Anyone else hang old car parts on the wall?
In reply to Noddaz :
Yep. That's cool.

In my case it was an intake manifold. But back to wall art.

We filled up the hood of our Lemon with "Bribed" stencils and hung it on the wall. The car is on hood number two and we have a third in waiting if we run out of room again.

Sounds about right...to my knowledge the kids never ratted me out about non-approved dishwasher usage.
I powder coated some strut housings a long time ago. That was alot more dramatic. I ended up buying a new stove and wiring up the old one in the basement to do the rest of the parts.

Nice!
I have a 914 grill that holds a few badges, a 914 hood that will be done up like the 1970 #40 Le Mans winner (class) 914/6, and an Opel 1900 valve cover that I plan on polishing and putting hooks on for my many sets of keys. Also an Opel Rallye hubcap as well as a Porsche 356 one. A number of prints too but frames are hard.
My walls are covered with car part art:
Ferrari 275 key rack:
I have some Porsche 996 and Ferrari 308 wheels for hose reels. Here's a Lamborghini wheel for my garden hose:
I also have a Porsche 917 wheel on the wall of my office:
There's a WWII P&W Wasp piston, Porsche 906 piston, and part of a Porsche 910 coil spring.
Also on my office wall is a Porsche 908 air filter cover:
Also collecting dust in my office is a tank track from a Sherman tank, a twin-plug Porsche 906 head and cylinder, and a 906 piston on a titanium Corvette rod. I don't think there's anything in that room that a normal person would consider appropriate room decoration.
I have a bent rod out of my wife's former TDI that I've had on two garage walls, and a crashed GT3 bumper that I have no connection to whatsoever, just looked cool and was in paddock at VIR when we pulled in one night next to a trashcan. So, we took it home and screwed it to a wall girt in my shop.
Buddy recently wrecked his track car and we tossed a few ruined body panels in the scrap dumpster, but intend to hang the crunched door that has his number panel on it on the wall in the shop.
So, as I type it out, mostly "carnage" for my car part wall art.

I have a Mugen Honda valve cover that I want to make into a desk lamp.
not wall art but I've made a few of these. Currently one lives next to my bed and my son has one on his dresser.
Also have a considerably more janky lamp from spring off cuts
The grill holds Hotwheels.
Datsun Z wheel I put on my office wall.

Original tailgate from my '61 Apache.
I have an intake and a set of heads from a Ford flattie, but I'm redoing the display.
My hoses hang from a Porsche Fuchs wheel and my electrical cords hang from the splined knockoff hub of a Triumph TR4.

Keen Engineering office North Vancouver Johnston JM6 F/A, and Ralt RT4 F/A on the wall, installation no longer as Keen was acquired by Stantec. Picture from Sports Car Road Racing in Western Canada authored by Tom Johnston. When Keen was sold the author moved the cars to his private collection aka the basement of his house. Unfortunately racer, constructor, team owner, author, and engineer passed away a few weeeks ago.

It's a Graflex 3-cell camera flash from the 40s. Later used as a prop laser sword in a late-70s science-fiction movie titled Star Wars.
