I'm working on an automotive show and have been trying to come up with a name for it. What sayeth the hivemind, ya like it?
We (a close friend of mine and I) are going to review performance cars of all sorts on track and on amazing roads. Then plot out the road trips so they can be duplicated by viewers. Throw in some quick restaurant reviews so you know where to stop for a bite. A road/track test with turnkey daytrip built in. Opinions? Advice?
The Grand Tour is about to launch. Is there something that would piggyback on that without treading into copyright infringement?
The Drive and Dine?
I like "The human Race" too. Maybe the word race in a font that looks racey.
In reply to GTwannaB:
We could drift around then cuddle.
Maybe I'll do that one as a spin off with swmbo.
I'm certainly no foodie, so the restaurant part will likely be pretty limited. More of a thing to prevent people from getting food poisoning etc.
Fork in the Road
but that might be too much emphasis on the food (fork).
Race tracks and Lunch Sacks? Nah, too many syllables...
I looked up synonyms for "travel" and a couple that could be tweaked are:
Wanderlust
ˈwändərˌləst/Submit
noun
noun: Wanderlust
a strong desire to travel.
Meander
mēˈandər/Submit
verb
1.
(of a river or road) follow a winding course
Wayfarers
ˈwāˌferər/
noun literary
noun: wayfarer; plural noun: Wayfarers
a person who travels on foot.
Gallivant
gal·li·vant
ˈɡaləˌvant/
verbinformal
go around from one place to another in the pursuit of pleasure or entertainment.
Sounds like a show similar to what this site does for motorcycle rides.
GPX file downloads for GPS & Google Maps. The idea is to suggest stops and so forth.
Be sure to include generic guitar riffs and arbitrary deadlines.

Oh yes! Lots of fake drama! I hate that e36m3.
What I want to do is take back car culture a bit, show people that it's a healthy, positive passtime for people who are passionate. My experience has been that people who are involved in this hobby (builders, collectors, motorsports enthusiasts) are problem solving innovators. They are winners. If we can model that to the up and coming generation, maybe we can make car culture what it belongs being. Maybe we can make it something that is looked up to. I think our culture has been misrepresented for so long by the media, by hollywood, by the uninitiated, that people think auto enthusiasts are dumb grease monkeys that cant be doctors etc. when in reality, alot of the people I see in this culture are the most intelligent, resourceful, successful people I've met. I want to make the healthy part of this sport, more accessible to beginners. Hopefully it'll catch on. I think it's a good formula, and a good cause.
Diners, Drive-ins and Drives.
"Takin' the Z06 to Flavortown"
How about the thread topic of "Wandering quickly"
I think you're on the right track with Wandering Quickly but you want something that's a little more clear and gives people some idea of what to expect. Such as:
Speedwanderers
Going Somewhere Fast
Blurred Scenic Route
A buddy suggested:
"Fast Food"
Too much on the food part?
Edit: And now he says "Winding and Dining".
"Tach-Out Food"

That was the driving force behind the thread, do you guys think that's good? I kinda love it but wanted some feedback.
I want to have it be about the journey as well as the cars. I love to just drive around and explore amazing roads and views, doing that feels like it brings me closer to the world, more a part of it. I want to share that with people.
The concept is great, I'm not so sure about the name.
Idiots in supercars getting lunch.

Road Test Kitchen (you can review manifold burritos and the like).
Take your supercar duJour and pick a route but stop only at convenience stores and try to put together good-tasting meals with just those foods you can buy there... no restaurants.
