Speaking as a comics fan since the '80s, most artists don't have the ghost of a clue what even everyday vehicles look like. It's not like they are physically surrounded by source material, or anything.
Oooh. I want to draw gooder.
Drawing cars (and many times Semi's) was what helped foster my and my brothers love for things automotive.
I highly recommend it.
Oh **** yeah! I have been searching for an artist to "manga" my celica for me. But this might work too' (I am artsy, but mostly fartsy)
