I was looking at our analytics last night, and we have quite a bit of traffic passing through here. If you're new and haven't really joined the conversation, feel free to chime in. We'd love to hear what you're up to, what you're driving, or what you're into.
I'm new around here. I'm saving up for an early '90s Miata, so this seems like the place to be. I love cheap cars, though my dream car is a late '70s Stutz Bearcat.
I'm otherwise talking politics on fark.com, or working on my '89 Ford Ranger and '03 Honda Odyssey.
Welcome. And an early '90 Miata is a great car. I have owned my '92 since '98.
Welcome mate, this place is somewhat different, ie: We welcome questions.

And we generally don't call you names.
What, like Bob Costas? berkeleyhead? shiny happy person? E36 M3head? E36 M3 for brains? Turd burgling E36 M3 monkey?
Did I get most of the filters in there? For educational purposes only, of course.

I like his hat.
I'll introduce myself. My name's Keith, and I own a VW Westfalia and a Jeep Grand Cherokee that is completely stock.
Hello Keith! That Miata is incredible. I think I read damn near the whole build story yesterday at FM.
Hello Teh E36 M3! I prefer sorry bastard, if any name at all.

Maybe he doesn't make the drugs, and is in distribution?
I'm afraid the real answer is a lot more tedious.
I'm an actual pharmacist.

Welcome. All you need to know is- Miata, XJ Cherokee, f2t powered anything, and the occasional astro van.
In reply to mndsm:
You forgot E30
Welcome aboard HBP!! Pull up a chair, grab a cold one and join in the ensuring hilarity . . .
Search noob!!
Just kidding. Welcome! Currently own a 2004 BMW 330i ZHP and just sold my (former Challenge car) '91 Turbo Miata.
Welcome! Enjoy the hotlink thread when you get some time, its worth your time.
Nice, another Farker! I'm usually lurking the Politics troll pit under a different handle.
Did Fark link to something on GRM? That might explain the sudden rise in traffic.

I think your Miata wet the bed. No wonder the other cars won't park close to it.
David, that's because I hotlink the GRM site on alot of porn sites. Everyone clicking on the link is expecting to see bikini-clad car show chicks lying on the hoods of engine-swapped and giant-turboed car show cars.........

Maybe the hotlink thread is acting in some manor of Search Engine Optimization due to the fact that it has so many topics.

Ah crap, I did forget e30. I did remember mx6 though.
That's how I play the GRM game.

If that doesn't end up in "Say What" nothing will. That is hilarious.
In other news, welcome to the madness. We cover just about everything around here and if we don't know it, no one does.
I'm taking a break from cars and working on this..
Welcome new readers.
We have a wiki article that explains some of the weirdness here. I don't think we have a FAQ, though.
All you really know is this: The depth of information on which you can find fairly reliable information with a very high signal to noise ratio and fair bit of friendliness is astounding, and I really mean that.
Also, do all of you jack-holes that didn't mention the rotary in the GRM recipe, I hope you THROW A ROD
This is an internet black hole. I seriously rarely go anywhere else.
It's the best damn site on the net.
Oh, and the magazine is pretty good too.
