I had visions of a wing already, that is a great idea, anybody have an 8 foot, wing shaped, intercooler spare.
Seriously I can make that work.
Custom intercoolers/cores are not as expensive as you might think.
Could look into getting two off of say an RV or UPS truck, and having a shop make them into one big one for you.
Would the length of the piping haave any negative effects?
With that engine and that much boost (I'm thinking 30 PSI-ish) the length of pipe won't be that big of an issue. You may experience a tad more lag, but the benefit of the cooler charge will more than make up for it when boost does kick in.
That being said, maybe look at a compound turbo setup. Smaller quick spooling turbo feeding into the larger turbo. Not just for all out POWAH, but for driveability and broad range power.
Enjoy that base pressure when that bastard starts slobbering at idle.
This is an oil change, note the device for supporting the oil jug
If your shop is big enough to park a bus in, I'm way jealous.
How many 5 gallon jugs does it hole?
Delo, huh? Is that what the municipality uses?

Is that the new engine or the Detroit? I didn't think Detroit's required oil changes since they spew it through/out continuously???

Woah awesome thread! What has become of Mongo? I am having RV/towing discussions with my wife and she wants something preposterously vintage.
