Alfa Milano, I used to have one and it drove pretty similar to a 90 or 91 Miata I tried driving, much more so than an E30. They are cheap (easily less than $5k, sometimes less than $2k), almost all of them are manuals, there are plenty of suspension upgrade parts available and they even handle well stock. If you have to buy a clutch or windshield for one, or you care about having headlights bright enough to drive at night, a working heater, etc you may not like one as much, but otherwise they aren't too bad.

Did anyone already say 2 miatas?

What about the M30 and J30 from Infinit? I know they're about 1,000lbs over the MX-5, which may be an issue... I'm only offering this up to be different though, because I'd probably go looking for an E30, E36, or E46.
