This is a tough price point, I can't find an old IMSA or Rolex GT3 car for that price.   Maybe an older Rolex DP car?

For me, it's the same as the $50K discussion - Transit 350 with a mtn bike focused RV conversion.

By the way I am thinking of going to a 5K price point for the next thread.

I wish they existed. Then I wouldn't have to build it myself. I have plenty other projects I'd rather do than build an RV.

Pft.  Your nuts if you think I'm spending 100k on a car.  I'd put it all into the shop.  Probably get a plasma table, maybe a water jet table.  Some CAD software.  Hydraulic tubing benders.  CNC milling machine.  I'd spend $100k pretty easy.  Funny how the only cars I have any interest in are the ones I've put sweat into.

I think this may be what you are looking at. I've been looking at a lot of sprinter conversions lately.

You should start a what would you put in your shop for 100K thread instead of posting here.

I have seen these around and they are REALLY cool looking in person.  I am strangely attracted to them  LOL

Something entirely stupid.

According to some online calculations to get my 6500 lb Suburban into the 10's would take 1,000 hp.  And to go 9's would take an additional 300.

So while it would be the dumbest thing on earth, if you gave me silly money to squander on a car, I'd build a 3/4 ton Suburban that could run 9's.  Just to see people shake their heads at me.

No... that's not an RV.  It's just a van with a sleeping platform. I want an RV - cooking space, full bathroom, HVAC, etc. - except with space inside under the bed for bike storage. I want to have 4 bikes with me with a total value of well over $20K so berk-no they are not going on some sort of outside rack.

And a Transit scares me a little less than a Sprinter.

We sponsored a guy who was building a 9 second Escalade.

And I recall somebody else on Drag Week had a mid '80s Suburban with a boosted LS motor that was also much quicker than such a behemoth had any right to be.

I would buy this really nice F2 car. BMW powered M12 motor so I could actually manage to work on it myself.  With 300hp in a 1200lb car I doubt I'd get bored anytime soon.

I'm not sure I could melt my face better (in my preferred method) than this for $100K.  400hp 10,500rpm 2.7l V8.

edit - I like tom1200's idea too. A lot.

Matt  I like your pick as well. While I've driven the standard Radical I've not had the change to drive a SR8, the standard cars are good fun but the SR8 would be awesome.

Now you all have me pondering if it would be possible to take a older NASCAR frame and stretch it and then put a suburban on it.  You know just because we need something like this.  laugh

Yes. Love that color. I am not usually a fan of that wheel color and combo but it just works so well on that car.  Far better than the stock rims that would have come with it.

I'd have to say an LS-powered 944S2, fully caged, with a built LSD transaxle and Reigers ($$$ rally suspension) and all the top accessories (Stilo WRC helmets and comms, $$$ halo seats and harnesses),  titanium underbody protection/skidplates, and let's say 5 sets of Braid wheels with various rally tires on them. I figure that gets me to $75k and the other $25k I use for a solid tow rig and a nice trailer :)

Man, I'd love to turn the wheel of even a "normal" Radical.  My frame of reference is tracking old Hondas and BMWs so I'd probably be in for a perspective adjustment to say the least.
