Numbers don't mean anything in this discussion. HP/TQ doesn't matter. 0-60, 1/4 mile times and how many G's it'll pull is irrelevant. It's not something your going to set FTD at an autocross with. What I'm talking about is just something that you think is cool. Something that maybe you have been obsessing about for a while but is completely impractical at the moment or doesn't necessarily fit your needs but you would love to own.

Me? Well I can't shake the idea of a big full size land barge coupe. A big ol' hunk of awesome from the past. Something like this

What's on your mind?

Always wanted a 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee. I think Chrysler really nailed the styling on the '71+ B-bodies

I've also reaaaalllly wanted a newer Lotus Elise lately.

Original M6, but cost-wise I would settle for a nice manual 635. I have a hankering for a classic sport-luxo cruiser that I can ride around town in like the world is mine.

None.

There are a lot of cool cars out there, both past and present, but right now I'm not really wanting anything.

Of course I have about 5 or so cars on my cool-radar at the moment so I might be the other extreme ('65 Falcon - '16 Mustang - '71 Dodge D100 - Fist - '64 Valiant....)

Econoline Cargo Van. I'd want a running project to make it mechanically sound and so some random road trips. Like the farthest four corners in the U.S.

This, or a '64 Lincoln......both looking classic but with updated running gear so it could be a cool occasional DD, road trip car.

The SL65 AMG has really gotten into my brain. Even after the SL thread went lukewarm in general, and somewhat negative on the SL65, that's the one I want.

My practical side has talked me into investigating the XLR V and 996 911 Targas.

I want a small racetruck. Ranger or S10. Lowered a bunch, big brakes, boosted Duratec/Ecotec 4 cylinder, T56 or 6060, IRS, and whatever body mods are required to run 315s all around. Maybe with a bellypan/diffuser.

That trophy truck/prerunner thread from a couple of weeks back made me want one of those too. For times when the reduced suspension travel/height of the racetruck wouldn't be desirable.

A Duratec/5speed powered Volvo 544 has been creeping into my thoughts lately. That, or get my '91 GTI roadworthy.
