Yeah, and I think a S550 V6 will put down quicker 0-60 and quarter mile times than a New Edge GT. But to each his/her own. If nothing else, I think the V6 sounds nicer and should be cheaper to own and operate which is why I asked.

Not sure if I should edit or not, but I was wrong-ish.
It wasn't that expensive but it was 50% more than a GT fixed roof car.
For context, the SVO had five lug wheels and four wheel disk brakes, and low profile tires on 16" wheels, I think the GT had the same tiny front disks and rear drums (10"/9"?) as a base model. But it was still a turbo four cylinder vs. a pushrod V8 that made similar power.

Yeah, I was going to mention the hubs/brakes/etc. Also I think the turbo engine was still pretty novel in the mid-80s. My uncle had an '86 SVO and at the same time my dad had a Turbo Thunderbird.
