I ask because the AC drier for a 94 Miata is a non-existent part and I need one to make the Molve AC work.

Years ago I used to recycle desiccant pods by simply putting them in a toaster oven and baking at 350 degrees overnight.

The AC dryer for the Miata AC that I have has been open for many years, but if all that is inside is the desiccant guts, why would this not work?

Never mind....found this.

but the current desiccants used in MVAC applications undergo a non-reversible chemical change and once wet, cannot be made to absorb further moisture, posted this several years ago with links if you care to look those up. If you could dry the desiccant, still can't clean the inside of the can, remember, besides moisture, there is also dirty oil and contaminated refrigerant in there.

You might have just saved my bacon. I have been scouring the dealers and AC component vendors. Never thought of  Rock Auto

Will get back with results.

Really?  Rockauto is usually the first place I look for any part for a modern(ish) car.

If you bought from that RA list, I would have spent a couple bucks more and sprung for the Denso ... never even heard of the other three brands.
