It's what's left of a wiper blade, and it somehow managed to become lodged in the aerodynamic undertray right under my seat. Might have been a whole wiper arm, as much noise as it made going over it late last night. It was raining pretty hard at the time, so I never saw it. Hopefully there are no wires or fuel line that run between the tray and the body.
I'm assuming that's not your wiper blade?
I bet that made a heck of a racket.
Same exact thing happened to my girlfriend, It was loud enough that she pulled over and called me to come make sure nothing was broken

Weird. I was driving home in a terrible rain storm yesterday when another car jumped a curb and flew Hazardous Dukes style across my hood - ripped my wiper arm clean off! The other car just kept going...
