What is the droid I seek? Pile on the miles

2017 Volvo V60. Mine is the base turbo I4/fwd, which is convenient, as it gets the best gas mileage and is also the cheapest. I paid $11k just over a year ago, due to it having really high miles and some deferred consumable maintenance. This is the first Euro car I'm planning on keeping long term, so all the brake parts I bought from FCP Euro have "free" lifetime replacement. Might be applicable to you if you're piling on the mileage.

To stay under budget, I'd probably be looking at either a 2011-2013 S60, or a 2014 V60. The '15s and '16s almost all suffer from huge oil consumption due to a poorly designed piston ring issue. Holla if you have any questions.

The '04-06 GTO is an excellent highway cruiser with a good tall highway gear (manual only, tbf), but it won't touch the near 30 mpg a Corvette will achieve.  As a former owner/operator of one I've tried, but couldn't get there.  25 mpg on a good day.  And it still needs premium.
